The Fraumnster Church: Founded in 1853, this exotic church is a landmark building in the city. The unique feature of this architectural wonder is its five glass stained windows which makes the church look extremely wonderful.

Landesmuseum:Landesmuseum, built in 1898, is the biggest museum in Zurich. This glorious museum is known for its soaring towers and is frequently visited by tourists for its lush green sprawling park.

Zurich Art Gallery:This art gallery is home to a vast collection of paintings and sculptures by Swiss and international artists majorly from the 19th and 20th century. From a largest collection of Edvard Munch`s works to impressive work by Alberto Giacometti is the highlight of this museum.

Zurich Zoo:Home to about 1,500 animals from all over the world, the Zurich Zoo keeps animals in their natural surroundings. The crowd flocks to the zoo during feeding times. Kreis 2: Enge, Wollishofen & Leimbach:There are some excellent accommodation options outside Kreis 1 as well, including the Splgenschloss, Belvoir, Hyatt Zurich and Dolder Grand Hotel. These are luxurious hotels for the ones who`d rather prefer a place away from the city`s hustle and bustle.

Kreis 3: Wiedikon:The Hotel Uto-Kulm, situated on Å?tliberg Mountain, is quite far off from the city center but is still a favored destination of the budget travelers to Zurich. It`s a decent accommodation with clean rooms available on a budget. When to visit Zurich

The best time to visit Zurich is during the summer months when the weather is just perfect to enjoy the natural beauty of the city. July and August experience warm and sunny days with short spells of rain. September and October are also reasonably warm and are great months to visit this city.

Zurich Weather

Owing to its inland position, Zurich experiences mild climatic conditions all through the year. The temperature is fairly temperate and is also affected by the humid Atlantic breezes. The coldest month in Zurich is January when the temperature averages around 2 degree Celsius. Fronts can be expected at night time when the temperature dips further. Snow is quite common during this time of the year. However, the temperature begins to rise a bit with the inset of March. July and August are the summer months when the temperature can hover around 23 degree Celsius.

Currency and Language

Currency:Currency used in Zurich is Switzerland Francs (CHF). ATMs, banks and bureau de change can be easily found throughout Germany. It is however advisable that you get some amount of your currency exchanged for Swiss currency before you step in Zurich. Euro is also readily accepted at most places.
Language:The official language in Zurich is German. However, in other parts of Switzerland people do speaks and understand Italian, French and Romansch. German spoken in Zurich or Swiss German is considerably different from High German.
