T`ongdosa Temple:One of the oldest temples in Korea, the T`ongdosa Temple was built in 646 AD by a priest named Jajang-yulsa. The temple houses three relics that belonged to Buddha namely a begging bowl, bathrobe and a bone from his skull. The temple does not have even a single Buddha statue.

Taejongdae:This park was built for King Taejong Muyul who practiced archery over here. King Taejong (1400-1418) is also known to have visited the Taejongdae for recreation. This famous tourist attraction is known for the white lighthouse that overlooks the green sea. Boat ride is one of the activities that you can enjoy at this exotic location in Pusan.

Ja-galchi Fish Market:Pusan is known for its fishes and sea food, making Ja-galchi Fish Market a must visit place in the city. On display in the market are freshly caught fishes and sea creatures that are still alive. This multi stories market even houses a restaurant on 2nd floor where you can get cooked the fish or sea creatures you`ve just picked from floor number one.

Passport & Visa Requirements

All nationals must possess a valid passport before applying for a visa to South Korea.

Visa is not required by nationals of USA, Australia and EU countries for stays of up to 90 days. Exceptions being Italy and Portugal who may stay for up to 60 days, and nationals of Cyprus for 30 days.

When to visit Pusan

Pusan experiences mild climate all the year, making it an all weather destination. The best time to visit the city is autumn which begins in September and ends in November. Both day and nights during this season are pleasant and dry.

Pusan Weather

Pusan experiences all the four distinct seasons: winter, summer, fall and spring. June to August is the peak summer time when it`s hot and humid in the city with occasional spells of rainfall. Autumn time from September to October is quite pleasant with sunny days and a good breeze. It can get really cold in winters (November to February) with an annual average temperature of 3.8 degree Celsius. Cyclone with heavy rainfall and strong winds visits the city once a year.

Currency and Language

Currency:The official currency of South Korea is Won (KRW). Foreign currencies and traveler`s checks can be easily exchanged at bigger cities but can get a little difficult in smaller or rural cities. Credit cards are widely accepted in big hotels and departmental stores.

Language:The official language of South Korea is Korean. The language gap can get quite challenging in Pusan if the traveler does not know basic Korean. However, English is now widely accepted in the hospitality and tourism industry.
