All foreign nationals, excluding citizens of USA and Canada need a valid passport to enter the Bahamas. Travelers also require proof of funds to support your stay and an onward or return journey ticket.
A visa is not required by US and UK nationals for stay of up to eight months.
Canadian, South African and Irish nationals do not require a visa for stay of up to three months. New Zealanders and Australians can stay in the Paradise Island for six months without a visa.
Non-U.S. citizens also require a valid visa to enter into the Paradise Island, Bahamas. In case your travel days do not exceed 30 days, green card and a valid passport from the country of your birth is required. If the number of travel days happened to be more than 30, Bahamas visa and a valid national passport is required.


With a warm weather and breezy winds, spring and fall are the perfect seasons to visit the Paradise Island. March and April form the peak tourist season in the island. Summer time in the island is often crowded whereas winter time is the off-peak season with not much crowd. Language:The national language of Bahamas is English with slight improvements and variations. There is no official second language in the island though everyone is free to speak their native language.
