Also on display are the pearl-diving relics, ethnographic artifacts and archaeological material from excavations on Failaka Islands.

The Kuwait Towers:The Kuwait Towers, situated on the Arabian Gulf Street in Dasman, is one of the most visited landmarks in the country. The tower features a revolving observation area and a restaurant which can be reached with the help of high-speed lifts.

Failaka Island:Once devastated by the Gulf war, the Failaka Island is only inhabited by the soldiers. From 4th century BC onwards, Greeks have lived on this island for two centuries. Passport & Visa Requirements

A passport valid for at least 6 months is required by all nationals traveling to Kuwait City.

Nationals of USA, Australia, Canada and Britain can obtain a visa on arrival which is valid for 30 days, for both tourism and business purposes. EU nationals too are eligible for the same with the exception of Estonia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Malta, Romania, Slovak Republic and Slovenia.

When to visit Kuwait

March is often considered to be the best month to travel to Kuwait City. Weather wise, it is a very comfortable month with occasional showers that offsets the prevailing heat. November to April, just before and after summers, is the ideal time to explore this city.

Kuwait Weather

Kuwait enjoy s warm and tropical climate all through the year. Summer months from April to September are particularly hot with the average temperature reaching as high as 45 degree Celsius. November to February are cooler months with the average temperature hovering around 15 degree Celsius. Precipitation is the highest between the months of October and April. Intense sandstorms can be experienced during June and July.

Currency and Language

Currency:The official currency of Kuwait is Kuwaiti dinar (KD). A large number of money changers are found in the city who can exchange all major currencies for the travelers. Travelers checks can easily be exchanged at banks.

Language:The official language of Kuwait is Arabic. English is also widely spoken and understood in the city. Other prominent languages spoken in Kuwait City include Persian, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Punjabi, Urdu, Bengali and Filipino.
