I finally managed to convince my friends for a trip to this splendid city New York. The best happened to us when we got cheap air tickets to New York City. My main motive behind organizing this trip was simply to visit Statue of Liberty. While researching about the Statue of Liberty, I came to a conclusion that it?s always wise to book your tickets for a trip beforehand because they go quickly at the ticket window. The best can be done by booking at least 2 days in advance because this is how the reservation process runs here. By the time we reached there it was about 10am and we were informed that wait for the ferry to the Statue was nearly one hour long. Well, at that time it didn?t seem like it was that long. As thought they didn?t have any timed tour tickets available with them. Reaching there, we hired a guide who made us aware about many new things about this Liberty lady. He told us that Statue of Liberty is situated on twelve acre island and is a token of friendship from France to United State?s people. It?s a universal and global symbol portraying democracy and freedom. On October 28, 1886, Statue of Liberty was devoted as a National Monument, marked as a national Monument in year 1924 and rebuild for her centennial on July 4, 1986. Ah, it was good piece of knowledge from him. The coolest part ? its green color comes from the oxidation. It?s made out of Copper ? so as the copper rusts ? hence the color green. We also purchased cute green colored foam crowns to wear. The moment we put them on, we became a part of the tourist attraction! Some people were astonished to see us with crowns on our heads. After seeing the statue we headed towards the Ellis Island where we all friends had a blast time. Ellis Island has some interesting exhibits. After a fun-filled stroll on the island we all had a lunch on this fast food restaurant which was actually more expensive than a ferry. Let me tell you something really important, if you do not possess much time to visit this beautiful Liberty Island or if you happen to reach very late in the day, you can opt to take this great ride on this Staten Island Ferry. These Staten Island Ferries exit from the terminal located at the east end of the Battery Park just a few steps away from Statue of Liberty Ferry. The adventurous ride will take you across this harbor called New York harbor past the Statue of Liberty with an awesome view of the Manhattan skyline. The good news is that the round trip takes about 1 hour and costs nothing! It?s a splendid way to see this magnificent Statue of Liberty as well as the New York skyline without spending any money and much time.

My wife and I came to this place many times. The view in the night is very sensational. It is one of the ways to learn about and take in the city in an unusual fashion. The scenery with all the lights appears to be computer generated. We waited for at least half hour which I think was worth of it. I advise travelers to include it in their must visit list.

The Guggenheim museum is really a place worth visiting. The art and architecture of this museum is also admirable. The building was designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The building gives a modern outlook with its bright white exterior and glass-domed interior. Though this is my first visit, I think I will be visiting more often to this museum.

In my recent visit to New York, I took the opportunity to visit the famous Statue of Liberty. However, at the time I visited the place, I could not get inside of the statue due to some security purpose. I took a boat tour to watch the Statue of Liberty. This was really a thrilling experience as I could get a much closer view of the Statue of Liberty. I captured some wonderful photographs as the boat passed by.
