I and my wife visited Athens for the first time. We booked a room with double beds in the Athens Gate Hotel. The room is small but it is nicely decorated. The biggest advantage of this hotel it overlooks both the Acropolis and the Temple of Zeus. The restaurant situated on the roof top helps to enjoy the best views in Athens. The Acropolis Metro is only 150 metres away and it became very easy to commute to different places. Apart from its fantastic location the hospitality and friendly behavior of the hotel staff is another big reason why we may choose to stay in this hotel if we go to Athens again. The rooms are cozy and are well furnished. If you are ready to spend little more money than a cheap hotel then I suggest travelers to experience the exuberance at the Athens Gate Hotel.
