We took a ferry from Dover to Dunkirk on our way to Paris as we planned a visit to Paris and wonderful Eiffel Tower. From Dunkirk we all traveled to Paris city, here we witnessed this magnificent man made structure, great Eiffel Tower. Wow! What a fantastic sight it turned out to be. You can not expect such a comprehensive view of Paris than from the top of the Eiffel Tower. Built in the year 1889 to celebrate the 100th year of the French Revolution, and is named after its creator Gustav de Eiffel it presents an eloquent bird?s eye view of the entire Paris. The moment we got to the elevator, there was a silent thrill all around. Most of the co-passengers were tourists with their children. They all were extremely excited to see this magnificent city situated on the river Siene form its topmost point. There was lot of anticipation as the elevator started moving up. Besides being two centuries old, the tower is continuously charming the visitors and remains as one of the best landmarks of Paris city. Well, ticket counters are available at the tower?s base. You can get on to the tower either through the elevator or the winding stair case and can have a glimpse of this beautiful city from any of the 3 platforms at the top of the Eiffel Tower. As we were enjoying the view of this splendid city that was laying below as well as the River Siene it appeared as if River was extremely intertwined with Parisian style of life and history. One thing to really take care of is that the elevator wait lines can be ridiculously long mainly during summer times, so it?s wise to visit the tower either early morning hours or after 6 in the evening so as to avoid those long hour waits in queues. Alongside, it gets really hot in summers, relishing an ice cream on the second platform can help in tolerating the heat. If looking for those mementos which feature Eiffel Tower, then this gift shop on the second platform can assist you in grabbing one. After enjoying at plenty of other landmarks that this beautiful city of Paris has on its platter for all the tourists, we returned on some of the inexpensive ferries that work between France and England and were finally back home after a fantastic trip to Eiffel Tower.

When I was in Geneva I did not miss this picturesque cruise along the Rhone river. The boat left from the Pont de l'Ile-quai des Moulins and went as far as the Verbois dam and back. This is a complete change of scenery from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Last month when I was in Geneva, I took the opportunity to visit the most startling and most centrally located theater and concert hall Batiment des Forces Motrices. I witnessed some ongoing series of theater and musical concerts which are among the most controversial and iconoclastic in town. I suggest travelers to visit this place at least once.

I just came back from Switzerland. When I was in Geneva, I spared some time to visit Port Valais which is a beautiful water front. I should say that it is a home of water sports and recreation. I loved the place and I would definitely go there once again.

There are many beautiful attractions in Geneva. I took a miniature train ride to enjoy the beauty of this place. There are a number of ancient castles, beautiful buildings and historic palaces within Geneva that give the city a distinctive look. I was amused with the train ride and enjoyed the sights.

This art museum will rejuvenate your senses. The collection of both old and modern art, European paintings and sculptures attracts not only the people of the city but also many international tourists. I have traveled to many places and the art collection here impressed me the most. There were many art works of great painters here.

My kids really enjoyed it. This is a wonderful museum that you have to see when in Zurich especially if you are with your kids. I came to know that there were more than 1000 antique toys in it. It is amazing to see different toys starting from the 18th century. This is not only exciting for kids but for adults like us also.

There are many free museums in Zurich and Zoological museum is one of them. The stuffed birds and animals in the museum take you to a trance to feel the mystery of the huge collection of different species. I was lucky to visit this place with one of my friends who is a zoologist. He gave me more details of the museum.
