This marvelous construction was a result of 2000 years of hard work. It is said that from space, this is the only man made structure visible. As expected, the wall was really long and from top of it, the views were very beautiful. It is only after visiting this great structure, I came to know why Chinese take pride on it.

I visited many tourist spots in Beijing. However, the summer palace was the most enjoyable to me. It was a cool and relaxing as I kept on strolling for hours together in the gardens out there. If you are on the end of the vacation and about to leave the place, just do not forget to relax yourself for some time in the soothing Summer Palace.

As the name suggests it really is an exotic place with all beauty condensed in one place. The beautiful park with a temple inside it attracts travelers throughout the year. Though I was a foreigner to this place, I was so lost in this park that I forgot where I was. It really pampers you and soothes you when you navigate in the lovely lanes of this park.

Beijing Confucius Temple in Beijing's Imperial College streets is a very large temple with more than 20,000 square meters. It is said that the emperors used to hold memorial ceremonies in this temple. I suggest all travelers to Beijing to visit this temple to get glimpses of ancient history of China and its culture.

In my recent visit to Shanghai, I visited Baiyun Temple which preserved the ancient Taoist scriptures originating from the Ming Dynasty. At present you can find these scriptures at the Shanghai Library. When I entered the temple I saw a hefty archway with four Chinese letters ?Sheng Yun De Lu? inscribed on it which literally means ?the road to obtain promotion to the clouds?. I also saw the monks with blue robes. I was fascinated with Taoism and its culture.

Shanghai is an active city with a lively night life. Every time you visit this place there is something new to visit in the city. The Bund is one such area. Particularly in the night time the area gets illuminated. The entire river bank is awesome and looks beautiful. Many bars and restaurants along the river side are flourishing and I was lucky to board a hotel near the Bund this time. All I can say is that you have to be there to experience the beauty of the river.

My visit to China became memorable after visiting Summer Palace. It is a beautiful park. I strolled in the park for hours together. The Kunming Lake added to the beauty of the park. Walking on its frozen water was an experience. I also strolled across the long corridor, Changlang following the shore of the lake. Stone and Dragon boats are unique structures. It really was soothing to watch green gardens and water fountains all around. I will advise to definitely add Summer Palace as a place to visit if you are in Beijing for a visit.
