palace of the Asantehene

When I came to the beautiful city of Kumasi in Ghana, I visited the Palace of the Asantehene. I hired a trained guide who gave me all the information about the palace and also the history associated with it. There are many objects related to history and paintings and pictures of the old Ashanti kings.

Cape Coast Castle

Cape Coast Castle is definitely worth a visit while in Ghana. I hired a guide who was well informed about all the sad stories happened in the castle. It has been owned by Dutch, Danish, Brits, and Swedes during the slave trade years and is now a museum. I had no problem in the city as there were some good hotels and restaurants. I enjoyed my visit to Ghana.

plymouthto banjul challenge

This charity car race of more than 4000 miles from Plymouth to Banjul is more than exciting. Everybody wants to participate but few get the chance. I think I was one of those few lucky people. It is a totally unsupported race - no break-down trucks, no back-up vehicles, and no medical staff standing by. It was really adventurous.

Lake Assal

Lake Assal is considered the most saline body of water on earth outside Antarctica, with 34.8% percent salt concentration. The Lake is a reserve of salt and a source of income for the locals. Camels are used to extract salt and it is really an amazing sight to watch huge salt caps. Our visit to this place was absolutely refreshing and relaxing.

I am a thrill seeker and a great lover of wild life. My visit to Moremi Wildlife Reserve was very interesting. I had a close watch of springboks, monkeys, baboons, hyena, and all kinds of birds that visited within in arms length. I could also hear lions roar from a distance.

Gold of Africa Museum

I went to Cape Town with my family last month. I visited the Gold of Africa Museum and was mesmerized with the beauty. My kids also loved it. Gold is explicitly used to explore the history of Africa. There is a gold jewelry workshop and shop selling souvenirs. I too made some purchases.

It is one of the largest mosques in then world. You need not have to be a religious person to visit such a beautiful mosque. I find no words to describe its colossal structure and its beauty. I you are in Morocco just go to this mosque and witness its magnificence by yourself.

The Abuja National Mosque, also known as the Nigerian National Mosque. I was surprised to see that this beautiful mosque is open to Non- Muslims as well. This is not just a worship place and it houses a religious school, a conference hall and a library. The huge shiny structure attracts many travelers. I loved the mosque very much

I visited many interesting places in Nairobi and the National Museum is one of them. There were many oldest fossils and I could get glimpses of Kenya?s rich culture and traditions. The interesting thing that I noticed here is the stuffed animals. Unlike other museum visits it was not boring and I loved to explore the place

This museum is one of the best museums that I have ever seen. There is a huge collection of archeological discoveries, antiquities and art works. It was amazing to also find pottery work, musical instruments etc in the art gallery. I was with my girl friend when I visited this place. I had a feeling that it was not a place to visit with girl friend. However, she also liked it very much.
