The third largest city of South Africa, Durban International Airport was the international airport of Durban from until 2010. It has now been replaced by King Shaka International Airport that is located 60 km to the north of Durban. Formerly known as the Louis Botha Airport, it is co-located with AFB Durban. Due to the short runway and the hub and spoke policy that was adopted in the 1990s, this airport lost almost all of its international traffic. In order to get here, you`ll have to fly down to either King Shaka International Airport or AFB Durban Airport that is 15km away from the city of Durban. |
