TACA Airlines is the flag bearer airline of El Salvador. TACA, is an acronym for Transportes Aereos del Continente Americano (Air Transport of the American Continent). TACA Airlines was founded in 1931 at Tegucigalpa in Honduras. The idea behind the airline was to provide air travel service in Latin America countries. Nowadays, the airline flies to 39 destinations in 22 countries in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. TACA has won many awards like `Best Airline in Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean`, `Best Crew in Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean` and Best Regional Airline in Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean given by Skytrax in 2009. The airline has a fleet of 38 aircrafts that includes Airbus 319, 320 and 321, and 2 Embraer E190 planes

A Business class traveler can bring in 1 piece of carry-on baggage (weighing up to 22 lbs and measuring up to 45 inches) and 2 pieces of checked baggage (weighing up to 70 lbs and measuring up to 62 inches). Baggage weighing above 70 lbs up to 100 lbs or measured more than 63 inches up to 125 inches will be charged $125 per piece at the airport.
