About Royal Jordanian Airlines
Royal Jordanian (RJ) is based in Amman, Jordan. Royal Jordanian won `Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation award for Airline Turnaround` award in the year 2006. The Airline is also a prominent member of Arab Air Carriers Organization and Oneworld Alliance. Royal Jordanian has its main base at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, from where it operates over 500 flights per week with at least 110 departures on a daily basis. Royal Jordanian has a strong international and domestic network covering regions such as Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. The Royal Jordanian airline was founded in the year 1963 by the late King Hussein of Jordan. It was earlier known as Alia Airlines, named after the King Hussein`s daughter. Later the Jordanian Government took over the airlines from private shareholders. Currently the airline has a fleet of 28 aircrafts.

The Royal Jordanian offers web check-in facility for its travelers on the company`s homepage. The travelers need to submit the reservation number, frequent flyer number and last name to complete the online process. This facility is available 24 hours to 120 minutes prior to departure of any flight operated by Royal Jordanian.
Royal Jordanian Airlines Baggage Policy
The baggage policy of Royal Jordanian allows the Crown class passengers to bring in baggage weighing not more than 64 lbs and in the case of Economy class the weight limit is 44 lbs. A carry on bag is allowed with each traveler that weighs 17.6 lbs. Overall dimension of checked baggage is 62 inches and for carry on bag it is 45 inches per bag.
