Egypt Air (MS) is the national airline of Egypt. It is the largest airline in Africa and a member of Star Alliance. The airline has Egyptian God Horus - winged God of sun- as its logo. The airline was established in 1932, and immediately became the seventh airline of the world after the launch. The Egypt Government owned and changed the airline?s name to Misr Air in 1946, but renamed it back to Egypt Air in 1971. The airline now has a strong fleet of 58 aircrafts with its base at Cairo International Airport. The Egypt Air baggage policy is classified according to weight and size of the baggage. The checked baggage for First (F) and Business (C) Class is 70.4 lbs per baggage; and for Economy (Y) class its is 50.6 lbs per baggage. The First and Business class travelers are allowed to bring in two checked baggage with two free hand baggage weighing 17.6 lbs with overall dimension of 45 inches. While the Economy class travelers are allowed with only one hand baggage. The overall dimension for checked baggage is 62 inches per baggage.
