LAN Airlines or LAN Chile Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Chile. Being the largest airline in Latin America, it has a huge network serving not only in Latin America but also in United States, Canada, Caribbean, Oceania and Europe. The airlines has its main hub at Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, Santiago, with secondary hubs at Ministro Pistarini International Airport in Buenos Aires, Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Quito, Jose Joaquin de Olmedo International Airport in Guayaquil, Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, and at Miami International Airport. LAN Airlines was established in the year in 1929 and was known as Aeropostal Santiago-Arica. It took the name Linea Aerea Nacional de Chile (LAN Chile) in 1932. Currently, LAN Airlines operates daily flights to various cities in Europe, North America, Oceania and South America. The airline has fleet of 97 aircrafts.

As per the baggage policy of LAN Chile Airlines the travelers can carry checked baggage under weight restriction of 44 lbs up to 55.6 lbs having overall dimension of 62 inches. One free hand luggage is allowed per traveler with each piece weighing 17.6 lbs and having overall dimensions of 45 inches (L+W+H).
