Accra (ACC) gets its name from the word Nkran, meaning `ants'. This is because of the numerous anthills in the countryside around Accra (ACC) . What's more, Accra (ACC) also has come beautiful beaches. Labadi and Kokrobite are the beaches that teem with visitors on weekends. If you would like to visit a beach that is quiet, you can visit CoCo beach (in Teshie) though its not good for swimming because of its rocky nature. You can even indulge yourself with some water sports in Accra (ACC). Osu is the tourist-visited area of Accra (ACC). It's located quite close to the Art Centre and Liberation Square.
